Dish Network fourth quarter results below market expectations

From Satellite TV ... According to Sanford C. Bernstein analyst Craig Moffett Dish Network has underperformed in the fourth quarter of 2007. The analyst predicted to add about 148,000 subscribers in this quarter but Dish Network was able to add only about 85,000 subscribers, which is far less compared to fourth quarter of 2006, the Dish Network added about 350,000 subscribers in fourth quarter of 2006. The Analyst described this as problem because of housing, lower churn for the whole industry, these factors lead to little addition to new subscribers to Dish Network.
